** Higher English requirements where the program is related with education based on Health Sciences, Applied Sciences or Engineering. Majority of Universities in USA, and Canada also require GRE or GMAT for studying Masters Programs.

IELTS is accepted throughout the world . However few universities accept the following English Language Exams for admission purposes:

1. Canada - CELPIP
2. Australia - PTE, TOEFL, OET
3. UK - ESOL , IESOL , Cambridge English Programs, PTE
4. USA - TOEFL

Therefore, the students have options to choose from the list of English programs apart from IELTS. The Universities in Australia and UK also link students having less than required Language level  with English bridging  programs. The students get an opportunity to enhance their language skills before commencement of their major program. This time also enables the student to acquire knowledge about foreign education and culture.

Why students prefer foreign education ?

Foreign Education is the " HOTTEST SELLING" industry among Asian Countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore and others. Students prefer studying in foreign destinations because of the flexibility and leverage programs provide. Moreover, the Immigration Industry Wave in the market has created demand of foreign education. The industry, no doubt is evergreen but the government authorities must recognize that its important to regulate this industry in Asian Countries.

The education system in abroad is much student friendly than that practiced in India. The students in India spend hours cramming and writing examinations. Each exam answer notebook consists of not less than 10 sheets where the students have to write foot long answers and even more. I trust that foreign education uses multiple choice examination pattern that allows the students to critically study the core concepts than writing anything on answer notebooks.

WHY STUDENTS PREFER FOREIGN EDUCATION?

Today's generation is much advanced and exceeds the previous generation in terms of critical and complex thinking. Modern students are aware about the benefits of studying abroad and the opportunities they can confront after studying. Not only students but foreign institutions too are working on the demands of international students because it's clear to them that the students will only study if the course material is relevant to industry and if the college or university assists in placements. The other reasons for choosing Education Abroad are:

1. The international laws of every foreign country , except few like Singapore, gives opportunity of working to it's international students. In countries like Canada, Australia and New Zealand the students have the right to work for 20 hours per week and full time during vacations. This facilitates the students to earn their living cost apart from studying. Further, it facilitates them to adapt to the working culture of a foreign destination. They build industrial links and channels that help them in gaining full time employment after studying.

2. The students are aware about their educational interest and place where their profession will be rewarded. I would take an example of people involved in Health Care Industry, In India the average monthly earning of Registered Nurse is INR 15000-INR 25000 whereas the similar profession is paid minimum CAD $25 - $ 28 in Canada and even more in Australia. The same goes with other business and IT professions. The students get higher rewards after studying which definitely boosts their morale.

3. The cost of studying in India at an IIT or leading management institute is almost similar. Not everyone in India can get an opportunity of studying in these institutions because of their complex admission systems which includes passing various exams and attaining high percentage in academic studies. However, by studying in foreign institutes or universities, the students get a chance of studying in similar high ranking institutions.

4. Settlement options ; the immigration laws of foreign countries provide settlement options to international students. The governments believe that students who travel so far and invest in education in such countries are no less in potential than their local students. Such students may offer skills that are beneficial for the growth of the nation.

5. The climatic conditions, pollution free environment, friends and family support from relatives or siblings are another factors that contribute to the decision of foreign education.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR REPRESENTATIVE?

The Immigration and Foreign Education Industry has spread enormously and this obviously has created competition in the market. During such circumstances, its hard to understand that who can provide better knowledge and information. With everyday radio and television talk shows where consultants are found providing information to the people, it becomes hard to decide your consultant. During such events;

  • The parents must support their children in decision making process.
  • There is no harm in window shopping, but you must have the judgement skills of understanding that who has what?
  • The student must research and determine the ways of application process followed by every consultant.
  • The student must know the settlement procedure post studies.

The Basic Requirements for Foreign Education

  • A valid travel document i.e Passport
  • Completion of Academic Program with almost 60% aggregate marks.
  • Completing English Language requirement i.e. IELTS (Academic).
  • Arrangement of paying 1st semester fee for the program
  • Completing Financial Requirement where the student is able to demonstrate the living expenditure (including course fee) for the first year of their studies.
  • Admission Letter from foreign institution
  • Applying for student visa at Foreign High Commission in your home country
